SAKURAI BOMB! Ike Returns To Super Smash Bros.

Ike 3(You’ll have to read these tweets to get the bomb reference. It’s a sports term of course lol)

Holy shit. So yeah, pretty much a surprise for the long holiday weekend! I admit it, I’m shocked on every level. I wasn’t actually sure Ike would be back, thinking just in terms of how many characters would be on this roster and definitely following the logic that it would just be Marth and the current FE game that’s around (though the history to say that is short though). Well, I was wrong on that. Even if I was wrong, I still expected a Fire Emblem character to be announced at E3, and it didn’t matter if it was new or not. So yeah, count me wrong on that too. Overall, I was wrong about Ike’s return in every way shape and form. Now that he is around, this probably eliminates half of the Fire Emblem cast (think Micaiah basically…and no not Sigurd, fuck you guys for thinking that and making things awkward), and probably will make Chrom, if he gets announced for this game, the Wolf of this iteration of Smash.

Also this probably ensures a Radiant Dawn stage, but I could be wrong on that. Oh well. Images after the jump.

Blogs, PLZ Let Me Know You’re Dying, Signed, Walters

graveyardAfter checking  my WP subscriptions and RSS feed, I came to the stunning conclusion that most of these blogs were dead. How did I know? Because updates hasn’t happened for 3 months. 6 months. A year.

Why do I have a problem with this? Because they’re just leaving their blood all over the place and expecting no one to clean up after them. How do we fix that?

By just saying you’re gone.

Well, you can say either that or you’re on hiatus. That’s it. See, I know there will be a time where you don’t feel like blogging. There will be a time where you also don’t feel like being on the internet. So you disappear. And that’s cool. There are a lot of reasons for those two, and it’s understandable to take weeks, even a month or two, off.

However, if you’re not writing over a three month span, what are you doing? You’re just not keeping in mind the people who stopped by the site and thought it was cool. You’re also going to make them forget about you. If that’s what you want to do, cool. But why can’t you at least have some decency to give a heads up? Just say you’re done? Just say you’re on hiatus. That’ll be the difference from me outright forgetting you exist from me outright saddened you’re gone, but expecting you to return if you said you’re on hiatus.

Back to Fire Emblem related things this week, including what Ike returning to Smash could possibly mean for that series…and maybe Shin Megami Tensei x Fire Emblem???

Permadeath does not work in Fire Emblem

An interesting thought on the Permadeath feature in Fire Emblem, and how the game doesn’t make it work in a meaningful way. It has some interesting ideas, and especially takes Awakening to task a bit. Even if there are some ideas you don’t agree with, this is not badly written and worth a read.

Fire Emblem Stage Fire Emblem

Oh hey look, it’s a Fire Emblem stage!…In new Smash! And looks great in HD! Though I wonder ultimately how the stage’s gonna play out. And hey, I could have favored a stage residing at an actual game. BUT, the arena (that’s what it’s called in the US) has been a Fire Emblem staple, so it makes sense that it appears again. Anyways, what do you all think of it?

(BTW, this has actually given me an idea….)

Well this picture is more appropriate than least suspected.

Well this picture is more appropriate than least suspected.

…So yeah, I completely forgot that E3 is next week. So I’ll try and whip up epic Fire Emblem predictions and maybe some game predictions.

But today, the arena! The arena is probably most unfamiliar to those who’ve played Awakening. But let’s just say aside from a few games in the series, it’s been a FE staple.

Pretty sure you all know from history battles where gladiators fought tooth and nail for their lives, all while people watched the battle in glee. Most of those people place bets, and win some gold to take home. That’s basically how it works in Fire Emblem. You get to choose most of your units to fight in a controlled (I mean basically whatever your level is you’ll fight at that level) space where if you win, you get double the gold, and if you lose, your character is dead and you lose double your gold. Only a few chapters actually have an arena in each Fire Emblem game, but if used properly, it can serve as an advantage…

…In more ways than one! When I first got around to battling in the arena in Fire Emblem 7, I messed with a little, just leveling up my characters while hovering over the B button so I can quit before my characters die. Then I realized I could abuse it. Well, only with healers really. I’ve rarely not done this in any FE game with an arena. I’m glad my tactician stats aren’t affected in later games…

Of course, a few games in the series did not have an arena, notably any of the games past the GBA Line — Path of Radiance and Radiant Dawn, and Awakening. The arena has been in all the other games, but not counting the remakes on the DS line, you kind of can wonder if the arena will be a staple in future FE games…

Anyways, it’ll be interesting to see what’ll be done with the arena in SSB4. For now, have a listen to the music of the arena. Note that a lot of the arena sounds happen to be remixes…

E3Oh look, it’s E3 week! That means games, games, more games, and some dumb technology will be announced and we never hear from again! People that we never see for most of the year but only see once, or twice, and that’s it! And finally, we’ll see gamers have to change their pants after hearing about an IP they’ve never heard of but it looks cool only to find out years later that it’s not worth the hype (Watchdogs, is that you?).

Whatever the case, E3 is crazy. And I’m crazy too, so it only means that I have to make predictions on what’s gonna happen. At least FE related!

Guaranteed to Happen

1) Ike will be in the latest Smash Bros Trailer.

Because there’s no way he’ll not be in it. He was officially announced on the website, so with that and the stage, we should be able to get a sense on how Ike plays in this version of smash by the trailer.

THIS IS THE ONLY GUARANTEE I CAN GUARANTEE CAN HAPPEN. Oh…and maybe one thing:

2) We’ll see the Coliseum stage.

At the Smash Bros direct they showed the stages and additional stages, so I’m expecting we’ll see the Coliseum at some point.

90-95% certain this is going to happen

Oh hi there nails. It's been a while...

Oh hi there nails. It’s been a while…

3) We will get to see what the hell Shin Megami Tensei x Fire Emblem is, honest!

Hey, remember that teaser trailer about Shin Megami Tensei x Fire Emblem in January last year? No, you forgot it!??! I don’t blame you — there’s been no information on the game since, aside from some technical stuff no one cares about (like Fire Emblem characters in the real world lol), However, we should be seeing a trailer of the game, and I have no idea what to expect from it. It’ll be kind of crazy to see just what’s gonna happen, but I have no clue. Just gonna have to take it in style.

More 60-40% certain this is going to happen

4) Now, the above chart that list SMT x FE is believable, along with all the other games for the most part. I didn’t need a list to guess we’d see a trailer of the game. However…

E3LINEUPYeah, I don’t see how a game that hasn’t had any footage shown of what the game does is coming out in August. I already believe it’ll be a 2015 title. If not, at best by Christmas. I’ll be slightly surprised if the date is true, but I trust that listing like I trust my grandma to figure out how to use Twitter.

(Note, my grandma doesn’t know Twitter exists)

5) There will be a new FE character announced for Smash. Who that character is, it won’t be a lord!…well, at least, maybe. I’d like to hope there will finally be some diversity and there’ll be a different character from the FE franchise.

There’s a 30% chance this is going to happen, so hold onto your butts

6) New Fire Emblem for 3DS. I don’t know if it’ll be a legitimately new FE game or if it’ll be a remake of an old game. But it will happen.

Actually, since I put it as a 30% chance, I’m talking out of my ass.

The chances of this happening are AHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA Walters u funny

7) Sigurd will be announced for new smash!

IT WILL HAPPEN! BELIEVE IT AND IT WILL COME TRUE!!!

8) New Fire Emblem for Wii U. Same as #5, except I doubt it’ll come for the Wii U at this time. The only chance a standalone FE title will be on the Wii U is if it’s a virtual console game.

Other E3 Guesses

  • New Golden Sun? Probabbbbly not guys, wait until next year. But there might be a character announced for Smash!
  • Speaking of Smash, let’s actually announce a few new characters this time right?
  • Skies of Arcadia, 3DS. Let’s get it Sega. (Hell, Wii U might be better, but I’d like it mobile so…)
  • Sony will announce something really dumb
  • Microsoft will then have the best press conference out of everyone
  • Nintendo will just be in the middle, despite the amount of games announced, mostly since they’re all coming in 2015.
  • The Last Guardian will find a way to not have footage
  • There will be a case of sequelitis by the end of E3
  • Apple will storm E3 with a game console, stunning everyone in the audience.
  • And…uh…I can’t think up any more dumb game guesses. An obscure video game franchise — 3 of them! — will be announced at E3???

Now it’s your turn! What do you think will happen Fire Emblem wise? Share your dumb predictions (don’t leave me hanging!) What other companies do you have your eye on? Well, whatever is E3 related, share it!

Anyways, expect me to do a bunch of tweeting on Tuesday, since Nintendo’s conference starts at 12PM EST. So stalk my twitter if you want.

-___-

The few things I got right

Before we even go over into what I screwed up by a lot, I might as well puff my chest up for the few things I actually guessed would happen:

1)

Speaking of Smash, let’s actually announce a few new characters this time right?

If Pac-Man, Mii Fighters, and Palutena don’t count as a few new Smash characters, then I don’t know what will!

2)

Sony will announce something really dumb

They said the words Vib Ribbon. Twice. And didn’t announce it on any platform! Man I saw so many people crushed about that. So Sony was just dumb for bringing the name up without even doing anything with it.

3)

The Last Guardian will find a way to not have footage

I mean, come on. This was too easy.

…Now onto my failed E3 predictions that failed so hard.

The chances of this happening are AHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA Walters u funny

7) Sigurd will be announced for new smash!

IT WILL HAPPEN! BELIEVE IT AND IT WILL COME TRUE!!!

Results: Well, I mean, it’s not like I had any hopes of being surprised anyways.

8) New Fire Emblem for Wii U. Same as #5, except I doubt it’ll come for the Wii U at this time. The only chance a standalone FE title will be on the Wii U is if it’s a virtual console game.

Results: It’s going to be impossible now, even if they moved into that new building! Intelligent Systems is working on Codename: S.T.E.A.M. It involves Abraham Lincoln and aliens. Well sign me up for that. But yeah, fat chance of a new FE game now, unless it’s a remake. And it’s for the 3DS.

Results: I was talking out of my ass. Then again, I wasn’t expecting to hit it big with this, so not really a shock.

Everything Else

lolI mean, the amount of fail in that prediction piece is epic:

  • I said 60-40 chance of a new FE character announced for Smash. We’ll have to wait for that.
  • I guaranteed we’d see Ike and the Coliseum in the new trailer. We didn’t. Now if I just said any trailer I could’ve gotten away with the Coliseum, but lol at me taking easy way out.
  • I also guaranteed everything SMT x FE related would come up. Well, the best we got was “It’s on schedule”. That sure gets my heart racing IS. It sure does.

So yeah, another year, another prediction game gone down the drain. I can’t wait to fail next year!

Rudimentary Thoughts About E3:

  • Boy was there a lot of complaints about more white guys shooting in games this year. Also just a lack of diversity overall. And…Ubisoft just deciding not to be honest.
  • Apparently Nintendo Treehouse was the greatest thing ever. Well, I guess if you were a gamer and wanted to hear the developers take, ok. But I mean, I didn’t really care for it.
  • The Nintendo Digital Event Trailer, however, was fucking awesome. And hilarious.
  • I think I see why EA has been considered the worst company in the past few years after watching their conference. It’s a shame.
  • Overall though, I think Microsoft had the more attractive games lineup, and Nintendo was the one who inspired actual joy in their products, despite only having a few games. Sony’s wasn’t bad, but they lost me when they talked about Powers.
  • Another year passes without any talk about bringing back Skies of Arcadia in some form. I’ll just hold my tears back…

Anyways, what were your thoughts about E3 this year? Whatever you got, share em!

Paying Tribute To A Fire Emblem Game Never Played: Gaiden

Fire Emblem Gaiden CelicaMy knowledge of Fire Emblem: Gaiden is about as miniscule as my knowledge of what really takes place in Genealogy of The Holy War. And I heard the story and levels were kinda crap. Despite that, it’s still a game I think I’d want to play for a decent amount of reasons.

Well, aside from how different it is.

  1. Ok, being different IS its biggest weapon. Let’s just say out of all the Fire Emblem games in existence, it’s the only one with a world map, RPG like battles, and towns. That’s right, normal towns like in a Dragon Quest or Final Fantasy. Just what was Intelligent Systems smoking? Because despite that they still kept permadeath, the battle system, and the usual cavalcade of units, with only a few new ones. But I dunno, sounds like a FE game I’d love to play today. Especially to see an updated Doma.
  2. It’s another world to explore! We’ve done a bunch of worlds and places, but hey, it’d be nice to see what the heck is Valencia and the places there. Also, to see the characters there (and see Camus!!)
  3. It’s considered the black sheep of the series. Man, lots of things can be the black sheep huh? Well I’ve played some black sheep games (Zelda II being one of them), so I might as well play some more.
  4. Hey, we can always use more Fire Emblem on the 3DS. Even if it’s a remake. Sorry, S.T.E.A.M will not be enough for me!

So yeah, I’d appreciate a remake of this game, if only because it’s drastically different from everything else. Just make sure Genealogy comes first Nintendo and Intelligent Systems.

Time to Tip The Scales! Fire Emblem Awakening’s Robin and Lucina Join Super Smash Bros.!

Well, I guess it WAS worth it to wake up early in the morning (as I usually do). See kids, the benefits of waking up early!

Anyways, both Robin (both male and female) and Lucina from Fire Emblem Awakening (the latest entry in the series) will be playable characters in Smash Bros for the Wii U and 3DS. Not surprisingly, Sakurai makes Robin look like a playable character. Also, so much for FE getting two characters only, or only a third rep. There’s now 4! So yeah, get hype! And uh, hey, if you haven’t played Awakening, go do that.

Fire Emblem Marths lol

So many people named Marth in Fire Emblem…geez…

So with me thinking this is gonna be it for Fire Emblem reps in Super Smash Bros for Wii U and 3DS, it makes perfect sense to look back, and see exactly how we all did in predicting who actually make the game. Some were more accurate than others.

Speaking of accurate…

The Five Candidates From Fire Emblem to Join The Smash Bros. Universe

Holy shit was I accurate. Well, for the start at least. Ike, My Unit (Robin), and Lucina were in my predictions list. They all made it into SSB4. If I was smarter, I would have included Marth in the list, but I did have characters I thought would be more off the wall (like Tharja and ANNA! ANNA WOULD HAVE BEEN THE BEST IN THIS GAME I hope she gets in somehow in some form).

  • Luckyo7 considered Nephenee (PoR/RD), Edward (RD), and Tharja (Awakening) had a chance. Welp, maybe not so much!
  • Kaxzc listed Chrom and Lucina as expected, with Tiki, Gaius, and Robin as his wish list. He got his expected and one of the characters in his wish list. Basically he was also right, just like me!
  • Ashley predicted Oliver (PoR/RD) would make it. Maybe at this rate, his theme will return instead.
  • burning8trxx predicted Marth and Ike. He/she was correct! And yes, I look foolish as usual!!!
  • Silentium picked Micaiah. Well…yeah. Thing is, chances were low at the start. I think they increased slightly since Robin is a magic user, and Sakurai could conceivably add a straight mage user…but yeah, it’s not looking likely.
  • Andimidna had a laundry list of characters he could see in SSB4. In the end though, the top three he listed as likely (Chrom, Lucina, Robin) made it in! We’ll have to see after that.
  • MagcargoMan predicted Marth, Ike, Robin, and Tiki would be in SSB4. Well, three out of four ain’t so bad? Then again, while Tiki was shown as a trophy, does that completely eliminate her? Probably, but I’m saying there’s a chance…

So yeah, I’m curious since I’ve seen this thrown around on the interwebs: Is 4 FE reps too many? Should this be it for FE reps? What do you think about the characters in general (for example, it seems Ike has blue flames now?!?)? Whatever ya got, let me know!

Sigurd's Predictions

So yeah, I’m working now. Actually have a part time job. Yeahhhhhhhh

So i.e, I’ll be away from the site for at least as long as I can set my schedule and crap. That probably means I’ll start writing on Monday or Tuesday. It may be longer, but I don’t believe so. But I want to concentrate on this job here. So bye bye for now!

10 Questions About Fire Emblem, All of Them Answered By Walters!

$
0
0

I guess this is my questions face.

I’m back. Well, not really. I just got settled into my hours at work, but as long as I schedule myself, stick to my schedule, and get good sleep, we should be good to go. Though I have to come up with some new content for the site in the next few days. Well, I have an idea at least.

I’ll explain it in this question segment! While I was gone, there were burning questions involving Fire Emblem, Robin and Lucina, and other video game stuff that I’d like to answer. Let’s get to that!

Q1: So Walters, how was work?

A:

Q2: Walters, what the hell are you planning in the next few weeks regarding FE? You haven’t written anything about it aside from Smash Bros shit!

A: Quite honestly, I don’t know too much just yet, just have an idea. I’ve been busy with my other site that shall not be named, and now I got work. And despite me getting a job, the job I’m at is hopefully a stop gap for a month or two. But whatever the case, I need to find time. So I probably will aim to post once or twice a week.

What is that idea you have in mind you ask? It involves Fire Emblem Awakening! Yes, it makes perfect sense to explore that world a bit further now that Lucina and Robin were announced for Smash Bros 4. Speaking of Lucina and Robin…

Q3: What has been the biggest surprise regarding Robin and Lucina being announced for Smash 4?

A: …That this means we have 4 FE reps? I mean FE has a good history in JP, but elsewhere, not really compared to some of the other franchises. This doesn’t mean it’s still huge, but overall, I can dig it.

Well, the biggest surprise is that people claimed they’d cancel their pre-orders of Smash because these characters were in the game.

…Like, what do I even say to that?

Q4: What’s your official stance on everyone hating/annoyed/disliking Lucina’s inclusion as a clone character in Smash 4?

A: I wish I was young enough to care so hard about this issue, but I’m not, and I don’t really care that Lucina’s in as a clone. I’m not even sure when it was speculated that it was a bad thing that clones existed in the Smash games and Sakurai would get rid of them. Last I checked, the Smash games weren’t supposed to be a game where we take it seriously like every other fighting game in existence. You were supposed to have a shit ton of fun, use items haphazardly, and fight on some of the worst stages ever. But overall laughing was an order. I guess since we have competition and stuff like that, it’s changed how we view Smash. That kind of sucks.

Q5: Do you think this is it for Fire Emblem characters in Smash?

A: It better be or else everyone will cancel their pre-orders and internet riot–

Honestly, I think that’s it. The only justification for another FE character is if it’s one that specifically just does magic. *looks at Micaiah and Tharja* But I’m satisfied with what we have.

Q6: Why does everyone think Shin Megami Tensei x Fire Emblem is canceled?

A: 1) Because it’s on the WiiU, which has been a failure of a system so far 2) Because it’s two series that probably should have been on the 3DS 3) Because Atlus is a part of this 4) We only have that teaser that showed nothing but character art.

But those reasons are not concerns. Yet. It hasn’t been a full two years since the trailer was shown last year. There’s still a potential Nintendo Direct that might showcase it, and there’s the Tokyo Game Show in September. There’s still enough opportunities to reveal some more information about this crazy crossover that I already pegged as getting released in 2015 anyways. So…this is too early to push the panic button. I mean there are still people who haven’t done that yet for The Last Guardian.

Q7: It’s been two years since a new FE! What’s going on?

A. You’re right. So far the franchise has been consistent with its releases in JP:

2002: Binding Blade
2003: Blazing Sword
2004: Sacred Stones
2005: Path of Radiance
2007: Radiant Dawn
2008: Shadow Dragon
2010: Shin Monshou no Nazo
2012: Awakening
2014: ????

I mean I guess Intelligent Systems could be well deep into working on SMT x FE. They also are working on new IP Codename: Steam (should we expect that to be a stage in Smash? Meh, it’s coming out next year, so maybe not.). So I guess they’re busy. But it’s weird to not have a FE game come out in this time. Unless Nintendo does a Nintendo Direct and announces they’re remaking Binding Blade for the 3DS. Or…Genealogy of The Holy War. You know, that game.

Q8: What should be the next game in the FE series? A sequel to Awakening, a brand new game, a remake, or something out of left field?

A: You mean…SMT x FE?!? *badumptish* Oh, wait, no, that’s already known. You mean…a Fire Emblem fighting game developed by Namco Bandai!?? Yeah, THAT would be out of left field.

But so was Pokemon Conquest so…

Anyways in all seriousness, the mind says it’s time to have a Fire Emblem original game starring on the Wii U. If Nintendo is smart though they should probably do a sequel to Awakening. They have characters that will be seen in Smash 4, they’ll have a Amiibo of Masked Marth A.K.A Lucina, they’d basically continue the hype train by doing another sequel. Unless they fix pair-up, actually take care of the story, and give those characters feet, I don’t know if I want an Awakening sequel. That may be because I don’t know where they should take it. But I guess we’ll see.

Q9: What’s your email address so I can yell at you?

A: Waltersfe at yahoo dot com.

Q10: What are your thoughts on this article you tweeted?

MAN, I wish I had the time to do what these guys do and tweet overly horrible things to people. But that not only sounds like work, it sounds REALLY boring. Really stupid too. Also, this is a good testament to how Twitter has failed horribly since it does allow horrible people on their platform. Or just trolls.

Trolls are the way of life :D

Anyways, that’s it for now. I need to go plan stuff.

So, I Guess I’m Gonna Be On Another Hiatus Thanks to…

Well, if anything, my hiatus will probably not last long as I’ll try and crank out a first impressions post this week. I have little idea what I’m about to get into, but at least now I can prepare for the SMT x FE crossover that I still expect to come next year. I wonder if I’ll like this game though…

Anyways, I’ll try and write some stuff about this game, my progress, etc. Might even try and tie it into FE somehow. But I’ll see. For now, time to game!

Yes, it’s sure been a while since I’ve written anything new here. I guess it’s not much of a shock. When you don’t keep a strong order to things, and work’s been crazy (had to take over someone’s hours because lol short staffed baby!), some things have to get dropped. I never actually set out to update this blog every day, and well, it’s totally coming to fruition now!

Well, whatever the case, my unexpected hours have been taken, so I’ll be back to working normally soon. I have some big stuff to do for the other site out there in the interwebz that I write for, so I’ll still be quite busy, but I do wanna get something written here. It’ll mostly be about Smash, which has been a lot of fun, and maybe something on SMT x FE, as there’s no updates at all on its status. I guess we’ll see.

Anyways, what’s been going on? I know there’s that disgusting gamer gate thing taking place. Do we even remember how it got started? No? Yeah, kinda glad I’ve been avoiding getting too deeply into games…

Walters Plays Smash Bros, And Takes Your Questions

So my other site stuff should be slowing down and my work hours are starting to stabilize. Now it’s just a question of using my time properly.

So I’ll use it to answer some Smash Bros questions!

1) So how is Smash Bros for 3DS?

Fun! I mean, I think compared to the console versions I’ve played (Melee and Brawl), it feels…lacking in aspects. Or in other words, there doesn’t feel like there’s a lot of depth, even though there’s stuff to do. I.E, it definitely feels like an appetizer for the main course, which is the Wii U version in November. But hey, at least the appetizer is really good, as I keep going to it over and over and over, though not as much as I did with Brawl. I played that for days, hours, etc. I usually just set some time during the day to play about 30 minutes to an hour of Smash 3DS.

I think the other thing that has affected my enjoyment of this Smash is that I can’t get completely comfortable with the controls. But I’m getting there I guess. Otherwise, this is probably still one of the better games on the 3DS market.

2) Did you unlock all of the characters? (Asked by Strykerclaw96)

I finally unlocked Bowser Jr. on Sunday. He was the last character I didn’t have. So yeah, I have them all now. I still have some characters to try out (like I still haven’t really touched Rosalina & Luma, I tested Bowser Jr. a bit, seems fun), but now it’s more or less figuring out who I want to main more, but I’ll have to play more or something.

3) Did you notice Lucina is actually more of a ***ch in Smash than in FE:A?

I actually did not lol so when I see comments like this, this, and this, I’m like, “Am I just high or something!??” I mean, I have played Lucina before (sometimes with the volume down tho, and in an environment where I have a lot of things on and the 3DS XL sound is lower), so I guess I missed this. But lol at the Smash Team making her into someone angry that Chrom got decimated by Captain Falcon.

4) Have I fought/defeated Master Core? (Asked By Strykerclaw96)

Yes, and yes/no. I did face off against Master Core with Ike at 7.0 intensity. And I won! Then this week I tried to take him on at the highest intensity. I got destroyed lol See he’s pretty brutal at 7.0, but 9.0, he has another form that I’m just not ready to handle. So I guess in a sense I did defeat Master Core, but I still have to try and beat him at that higher level in the future.

5) Have I ever had a match on the WarioWare Stage when Ashley’s Song is playing? (Asked by Strykerclaw96)

No, because the real Ashley that comments here has prevented me from doing that somehow. (I haven’t played on the WarioWare stage often)

6) What do you think the Smash Bros Nintendo Direct on Thursday will reveal?

Aside from secret fighters, a boss battle mode or something? I dunno! I would like to get an explanation on the 3DS-Wii U thing though.

I’ve Been Playing A Pokemon Trading Card Game and Watching Game of Thrones. Help

Also work has been a pain recently, but work always is a pain. So let’s get back to the fun portion of the evening!

Instead of gaming on FE recently, I’ve gotten myself involved with…other matters at the moment. That involves playing Pokemon: Trading Card Game…the GBC game! I remember how I played that in the past, and had a ton of fun with it; well guess what? I’m playing it again on my 3DS! It’s actually more addicting than I realized. And now I wish Nintendo had brought over the sequel many eons ago. Thanks Nintendo, appreciate it.

I’ve been watching Game of Thrones, after a billion people that I know keep telling me to watch it. It’s basically a dirtier version of Fire Emblem. Actual violence seen, a lot of sex (particularly in the doggy position), and well, more violence! It’s good. I’m definitely gonna check out S3 at some point in the future when work stops being meh.

Otherwise, I’ve been occupied with these and not much else. Maybe I’ll do something with all the FE stuff in Smash at some point in the future, and maybe do some more soundtrack pieces (haven’t done that in a while), but otherwise, I got nothing until next year.

So…Merry Christmas and Happy New Year? MERRY CHRISTMAS AND A HAPPY NEW YEAR!
